OnStar® and Connected Services keep your vehicle connected and protected — with a variety of services to meet every need. Take a moment to learn about the features of GM OnStar®. What is OnStar®? OnStar® system that works to keep you and your vehicle protected in a crisis, whether that’s theft or an accident. When the unexpected happens, the last thing you want is to be alone. This system automatically calls a GM OnStar® customer service number and alerts an advisor that you’ve been in an accident and lets them know where you’re located, so you can get help, even if you’re incapacitated. GM OnStar® can be there to help protect the people you love when you’re out on Barrie roads.
Built-in sensors are designed to automatically alert OnStar® if you’re in a crash, so an Advisor can help pinpoint your vehicle’s location and direct first responders there.
A GM OnStar® Advisor can guide you to a destination and download the directions to your vehicle (if properly equipped), even if you don’t know the exact address.
If your vehicle is stolen, OnStar® technology is designed to help locate the vehicle, so that an OnStar® Advisor can work with authorities to attempt to recover it.
Designed to provide you with emergency resources if you’re caught in a crisis or severe weather situation, such as special routing assistance and help locating shelter.
A priority connection to a specially trained GM OnStar® Advisor who can contact emergency service providers and provide certain types of critical assistance, should you need help.
If you’re stranded, have a flat tire, or require a tow from Meaford, an OnStar® Advisor can contact a local service provider by automatically dialing the GM OnStar® customer service number to help get you assistance.
Now that you know what OnStar® is, let’s explore Connected Services. Connected Services are for drivers who know a vehicle is more than just a mode of transportation.
Use your vehicle’s mobile app to remotely start your properly equipped vehicle, lock/unlock your doors and sound the horn and/or flash your lights.
Check the health of key vehicle systems like the engine, transmission, and more with the help of an OnStar® Advisor.
A fast in-vehicle connection that can power both your vehicle’s infotainment system and a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot that supports up to seven devices (data plan required).
An OnStar® Advisor can guide you to a destination and download the directions to your vehicle (if properly equipped), even if you don’t know the exact address.
Enjoy real-time traffic updates, local fuel prices, and parking options from your vehicle’s built-in navigation system (if properly equipped).
The vehicle has a built-in wireless service to help keep you connected while on the road. Push a button and call out a name or an OnStar® customer service number, and an OnStar® Advisor will do the rest (excluded during the trial period).

Remote Key Fob: Requires subscription to Remote Access Plan or Premium Access Plan. Services are subject to user terms and limitations and vary by vehicle model. Connected Navigation: Requires subscription to OnStar® Guidance Plan, Premium Access Plan, or Navigation add-on. Remarketing: Eligible pre-owned vehicles equipped with 3G or 4G LTE OnStar® hardware are eligible for 1 month of OnStar® Safety & Security Plan and 1 month of Connected Services (Hands-Free Calling minutes excluded during the trial period) which may, depending on your vehicle’s hardware, include navigation services, Remote AccessPlan, and, for 4G LTE equipped vehicles, 1 month or 3 GB of data (whichever comes first) from activation. Services are subject to user terms and limitations, and capabilities vary by vehicle model and the type of OnStar® hardware. Your 1-month trial will not be automatically converted into a paid service plan. If you choose to enroll in a paid monthly plan within 15 days of activation, you’ll receive the first 2 months of the paid plan you select on us. After the expiry of the first 2 months of your paid plan, we will automatically bill your payment method each month, and charges for data will be billed every 30 days by AT&T or its local service provider.
